Susan Overbo Plant City KnowledgePoints Center Director of Learning

Susan Overbo

Center Director

Let me introduce myself. I am Susan Overbo, the new Director of Learning at Knowledge Points, Plant City. I enjoyed working with Sandra Howell while she was here as director. She has since retired. (We will miss her!)

I have lived and worked in some exotic places: Paris, Mali, West Africa, and Hopiland, Arizona. But now I live and work in Plant City, and have been here for almost 20 years. My husband and I have settled here and raised our children here. We love this town.

I have over 23 years of experience teaching and tutoring our world’s most precious resource, children. I am a certified teacher who has found her niche in helping students of all ages succeed.

Knowledge Points and I fit like a hand and glove. Encouraging a struggling student and enabling them to have a measure of success gives me so much joy! When that “light goes on” as they understand fractions, or can suddenly read a more difficult word, I am thrilled. I get especially excited when a student’s success is carried over into the classroom and we hear of better grades and less stress for the child in school. They are developing skills that are the tools they need to succeed, and I have the privilege of helping them do it.
